This policy explains what happens to your money when a booking made on Kadal2Sahyadri is cancelled, changed, or cannot go ahead. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions.
At a glance
You can cancel a pending or confirmed booking from your booking page at any time before departure. The refund is a percentage of the amount you paid (excluding any platform fee, see section 3), set by the cancellation tier that matches how many days remain until the departure date.
Each organizer may set their own tiers. The tiers that apply to an activity are shown on its page and again at checkout before you pay. Where an organizer has not set their own, our platform default applies. It currently is:
The tiers that apply to each activity are shown on its page and at checkout.
The tiers that apply to your booking are the ones shown when you booked. If the organizer or we change the policy later, you keep your original terms. If the new terms are more generous for your cancellation, you get those instead.
Before you confirm a cancellation, your booking page shows the exact amount you will get back. That figure is the amount we refund.
On a booking with more than one participant, you can cancel individual participants and keep the rest of the booking. Each cancelled participant's share is refunded under the same tiers as a full cancellation. A share that has already been refunded is never counted again if you later cancel the rest of the booking.
Any platform fee is shown as a separate line in the price breakdown before you pay.
Where a platform fee was charged, it covers the booking service we have already provided. It is not refunded when you cancel a booking yourself. It is refunded in full when the organizer or we cancel (section 4). The fee that applies to a booking is the one shown at checkout when you paid. Later changes to the fee never affect a booking already made.
Discounts from coupons are not paid out as cash. Refunds are calculated on the amount you actually paid.
If an organizer cancels a departure, or we cancel a booking, you receive a 100% refund of everything you paid, including any platform fee and GST. This applies whatever the reason, including extreme weather, natural events, closures by authorities, or other events beyond the organizer's control. It also applies when refunds for customer cancellations are switched off.
You can move a confirmed booking to another departure of the same activity once, free of charge, as long as:
No money changes hands on a date change, and your cancellation tiers then count from the new date.
Refunds are sent through our payment partner, Razorpay, to the payment method you used, as soon as the cancellation is confirmed. We cannot refund to a different account or in cash. Banks and card issuers usually credit the amount within 5–7 business days, and sometimes longer for some cards. If a refund has not arrived after 10 business days, contact us with your booking ID.
If you paid the organizer directly, for example in cash or by UPI to the organizer, and they recorded the booking on our platform for you, that money never passed through us. Any refund for it is between you and the organizer. We will still help if the organizer does not respond.
The current commission rate is shown in your organizer dashboard.
Refunds are paid automatically according to your cancellation tiers (or ours, if you have not set any). Changing your tiers affects new bookings only. Existing bookings keep the terms they were made under, or your new terms if those are more generous. When you cancel a departure or a booking, every affected customer is refunded in full.
If something went wrong with a refund or a booking, use Report a problem on your booking page, or contact us. Please include your booking ID.
